Does anyone know how to control or get rid of Bugle weed? (It is taking over my garden!)?

This woody vine type plant appears to choke my other plants. The "flowers" looks like tiny morning glories.

sounds too good to be true I reckon you either have ( in cananda they call it morning glories) hedge bindweed/bindweed (field) this plant is very tricky to remove so the best result may be to cut plant down to the ground only leaving the last few inchs and spraying the plant with a chemical weed control such as glysophate you may also try roundup but do not use it if you have other plants near or in the same plant as it may kill other perennials or annuals you may be growing... any shrubs or trees should be ok a they're roots are much deeper than that of other plants.

Reply:these little rapid growing devils can make one a little dingie..lol.......you have to start in the spring and pull them up by the roots while its wet. their roots run deep will take a while to get them under control. you cant use a weed killer without wiping out your garden..just pull and pull and pull and you'll get control

Reply:dig it up and plant it somewhere away from your garden. the flowers sound pretty and they may look nice somewhere else in your yard. or if you don't want the flowers at all find someone who may want them. whatever you do if you hate these plants, don't use any herbicides. they will kill your other plants or they will make food plants inedible
