Why is becoming a born-again such a good thing? I have accepted Christ but I kno the Holy Spirit is imaginary?

A year ago I had a total fascination with Jesus. His love made me weep at times as it was so powerful. But now I'm growing up, I'm 17 and my hormones are changing me. So now I feel such a power with the flesh (no I don't **** girls all the time I just masturbate lolol.......) so with the power of my sexuality, I gave Jesus a try and I was in tears confessing my beliefs and my sins to Him.

And after all this time I have discovered what I always hoped for: a firm belief that the bible really is the word of God. I think I will have this belief for the rest of my life as I know there is a God. But Satan tempts me to have sexual thoughts again like after church sunday morning. It was sooooooo dull being with the spirit and trying to be spiritual. I just like being me and who I am. I will repent when I'm about 65 or 70 I guess %26amp; hope god saves me, coz I just can't live my life with Him because I no longer feel His glory. He's no there as it seems because the "holy spirit" isnt "indwelling".

If you haven't accepted the Holy Spirit then you can't have accepted Christ. God is 3 in 1. Sounds like you're on your way though.



It's normal to have those feelings, and it's hard for many boys to control them, but that doesn't mean you can't become a Christian. (Oh, and masturbation is NOT unholy, not if it's private, the Bible says nothing on that. Masturbation's not the same as lust.)



If your church is boring and old-fashioned, ask your parents if you can go to a new church. It sounds like you are beating yourself up WAAAY too much about this. You can be you and who you are at the same time as being Christian.



You know, you may not have until you're 65 or 70. None of us might. Did you ever think about that? Get saved while you still can, because you've got just as much chance as any of us of dying young. We could all die at any time, whether it's a car accident, an illness, etc...Just ask yourself this:



If you went out tomorrow, and got hit by a bus, where do you truly believe you'd end up?



Don't be afraid to ask God into your heart. There are times when we all feel far from Him.

Edit....happiness is the consequence of only one thing...loving others. It is not random.



One learns his way to loving others through listening to the Holy Spirit. Sexual drive is actually a need to be loved, not to love. When you truly love another, the drive is tempered by a deep concern for the other. Masturbation is an escape from this issue, an imaginary love you can receive.

Listen pal, you'll NEVER have a victorious christian life unless you're baptized by the Holy Ghost. So my advice is: go get it..and then see the difference.
