Does astrology have any biblical connection?

I'm not trying to preach anything but could this be considered proof that astrology is related to the bible?

Please read before you answer. THANK YOU! :)

There were 12 apostles = one for each sign

Prophecies always related to the moon.

Matthew’s gospel says that the three wise men were astrologers, wise men, priests from somewhere outside the Roman Empire. They say that the wise men found that Jupiter and Saturn were in conjunction at the birth of our Lord. The conjunction appeared in Pisces which Jupiter rules.

The Bible states that God Made the heavenly bodies to show us "signs" of his intentions. These signs can be read by anyone who knows how to interpret them. Astrology is about interpreting these signs in the motions of the sun, moon, planets, and stars.

The Bible also describes an astrological sign called the "Morning Star" which is a reference to the planet Venus.

Jupiter is the planet of the Kings (3 wise men) but also KING for Jesus...KING OF THE JEWS.

Astrology is not a belief system, but an archetypal, poetic language.

The Psalms verse 19:1-3 states, “The heavens declare the glory of God. The skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech. Night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard.”

Moses (c.1200-1100 B.C.), as Pharaoh's adopted son, was also an astrologer. He correlated the attributes of the twelve signs to the twelve tribes of Israel.

Does astrology have any biblical connection?
wow...awesome !!! Yes, it has biblical references in many parts of the bible.

P.S. Rotty mom ...!!! what planet are u from ? Where does it say what you are referencing to ?

P.S. Seven... instead of reading one psalm, babylonians were doing witchcraft and what not. Astrology guided the 3 wise men to Bethlemen. They were foretold to follow that Star and that it would lead them to the NewBorn.

"The Psalms verse 19:1-3 states, “The heavens declare the glory of God. The skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech. Night after night they display knowledge. "

This is Astrology and only for those who can READ IT CORRECTLY AND USE IT PROPERLY TO HELP OTHERS.

P.S. Daniel Knight... what religion are you trying to teach us?

Astrology has nothing to do with prophecy. When someone prophesizes and claims to be a god...this is evil. Astrology does not claim to replace God but rather to show the way to avoid errors.

The Church of Light and the Brotherhood of Light, both teach astrology AND I PERSONALLY HAVE PASSED THE ENTIRE 21 DEGREES and why would the Church of Light teach this if is it bad ?

re P.S. Seven... you can post the psalms you want ... I can post psalms that will contradict you.

Do you know that THE CHURCH OF LIGHT %26amp; THE BROTHERHOOD OF LIGHT teach astrology? Where do you think I got my degrees? Out of a Kellogs's corn flake box?

And the Babylonians were condemned because they were pretending to be gods. I do spiritual astrology and do not pretend to be God and most of my predictions, were dead on. If God would not give us signs to read the heavens, he wouldn't have made any predictions come true.

HERE IS SOME FOOD FOR THOUGHT........

In Judges 5:20 it describes the ‘stars’ in battle, “They fought from the heaven. The stars in their courses fought against Ciceria.” In Jeremiah 10:2 it says, “…do not be dismayed by signs from heaven.” We need to be open to the realization of messages in the heavens. In Psalms 136:7-9, it says, “Who made the great lights? His love endures forever; the sun to govern the day, the moon and stars to govern the night.” In Psalms 147:3-4 it says, “God heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of stars and calls them each by name.”
Reply:Wow, poor poor Val V blocked Daniel Knight when she saw this:

Sure you were thankful for all the answers. Lying flattery is not a sign of an honest person. And not even a comment on that journal entry in defense huh? Report It
Reply:What about the North Star which announced the birth of Jesus, and attracted the Magi to Him?
Reply:Actually, astrology is condemned in the bible

God wasn't impressed at all by the Babylonians for stargazing %26amp; making predictions

Isaiah 47:13-15

Edit:

leftie...

Psalm 19 is being misapplied by you. What the actual psalm is saying is that we can see the glory of God by looking at the vast heavens. See also Romans 1:20

If God condemned the Babylonians for trying to predict the future (astrology included) then that shows His views on the subject, wouldn't you say?

Also, look at Deuteronomy 18:10-12 %26amp; then look up the word 'divination' in the dictionary. That too shows how God views any form of prediction of the future.

...But of course, you will see what you want to see
Reply:According to one astrologer the possible readings for the most basic chart on someone is virtually infinite. What astrologer has the time to sort out which is the correct one? Also, like many con-artists who claim to be psychic, astrologers will tell you vague things like, "Sometimes you're loving, sometimes your not" which describes nearly every single person who has ever existed.

According to astrologers your fate is either determined by the stars' positions or only influenced them (so apparently if you know that the stars are say, causing you to try and eat a poisoned apple, you can then have a better chance of not eating a poisoned apple). The first kind is a problem for Christians who believe that man's will is free, it is also a problem for Christians who believe that man's will is more important than God's will and supersedes it (they are heretics of course and actually hate Christ and do not love him to believe something so plainly wrong to believe). As far as "coincidence" there is no such thing, and that includes "random" or "chance" happenings. It is unscientific and unBiblical (the scientific method actually comes from the Bible in the story of Gideon testing God twice). God did say however, concerning when the wicked succeed in their evil, this:

"If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or wonder that he tells you comes to pass, and if he says, 'Let us go after other gods,' which you have not known, 'and let us serve them,' [then] you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams. For Yahweh your God is testing you, to know whether you love Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul. You shall walk after Yahweh your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold fast to him. But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has taught rebellion against Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you out of the house of slavery, [that prophet of dreamer tries] to make you leave the way in which Yahweh your God commanded you to walk. So you shall purge the evil from your midst." - Deuteronomy 13:1-5

That doesn't mean Christians, especially who are not a king or queen, are necessarily to go out and execute diviners and false prophets, because for now you are to preach the gospel to your enemies in hopes they will be saved. Unless you are a king or queen or a ruler of some sort with regards to who should die for breaking a law, and unless the diviner or false prophet divined or made a false prophecy in the land under your rule, then you have no business attempting to execute someone on your own. If the person persisted however under a government that believed such practices were evil, then it wouldn't be wrong to you to report such a person to the government to have them put a stop to it at last by jailing or fining the person. It is possible in America to get a person convicted of fraud, even if they use religious means to disguise the fraud, for example by claiming their false prophecies were from God and that he commanded them to make them.

Reply:Well I am not exactly sure what to think on the issue really. I am not a big believer in the bible anyway so I suppose I don't try to argue much over either side. I've been practicing astrology six years now and I can tell you it is very true. Rather the bible mentions it or not, it is to me and no one can convince me otherwise. I have my "proof" of it. These are very interesting sites though. It is just an issue that is probably always going to be fought over. Some say the bible clearly states astrology is good and helpful, others say that that is a misinterpretation. My point is that everyone seems to intrepret the bible differently and it seems to have gotten to the point to where it's purely ridiculous. If each person who read the bible just intrepreted for themselves and then went about their ways then things would be alot better. Instead it seems people just try to convince others they are right forgeting the difference between belief and knowledge.

Val I will probably start conflict by saying this, but I hope not. Also yes I agree. Astrology is neither science or religion; it's an art. Why can't people leave it at that? Great question, sorry it took awhile to answer.
Reply:Yah, a little...I read something like this too. The only part I remember is when John and Simon went fishing on a boat and something happened and it is supposed to represent Pisces...There definitely could be some relavence. I won't say there isn't....interesting stuff
