Cleansed by Fire?

This morning while watching Christian TV I felt the fire of the Holy Spirit come down upon me. God told me that He was going to burn out of my life everything that is not of Him, which pleased me as this has been my prayer for quite some time. He also told me that He was coming upon His Bride with this Holy fire and cleanse all those that want to be like Him. All we have to do is be willing to let this refinement take place. He will do the work, He will receive the glory.



Also during this time, I received a glimpse of hell. I saw fire there also, but it was not cleansing, it was torment. I started to cry and asked God to please use me to tell those without Jesus where they are headed.



I know within myself that I cannot save a person, but the Holy Spirit can open the spiritual eyes. This is my prayer for the Church, is that we listen so closely to His words and only speak that which is from Him. We finally die to ourselves so that Jesus can be glorified within our lives.

wow I have been praying for the some sort of cleansing in my life that the Lord would cleanse me of thing in my past and to use me in areas that i need to be used in to be cleanse like that would do me some good i think
Reply:I have felt the Holy Spirit cleanse me, but I heard no words, no explanation, and I understood through the Holy Spirit, and when I felt the wonderful peace inside. I feel that peace again after a long time of prayer; one to three hours of prayer. It's different for everyone. In my experience, it has helped me in my life to keep an open mind, try not to judge anyone, try to show kindness and understanding to people. I pray when I want to thank God, when I pray for others and for myself, and when want to ask God questions.



The world will continue to change and affect everyone, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, non-religious people, etc. We all should know that more famine, war, and natural disasters will occur and prepare ourselves for a world that will become more evil day and after. Whatever one's idea about higher powers and spiritual beings: to deny that evil exists in the world is to blind oneself to reality.
Reply:I would encourage you to believe in the Bible rather than your feelings of fire. Feelings are very deceptive and only the word of God is declared by God to be truth.

Reply:While I was babysitting my grandson, my house burnt down. I wasn't there and nobody got hurt. No scripture, just thought you'd like to know.

The Holy Spirit really cleansed me last month. In early Feb., my pastor gave an excellent sermon titled Attitude Adjustment. During that sermon, God healed me of a long,ugly spiritual battle that I was suffering from that lasted two years. Before that sermon, I was a very weak and bitter Christian due to a lot of hardship in my life. Satan was deceiving me and filling me with lies that I had a hard time letting go of. It was awful going through that spiritual battle, and I never thought I'd become a strong Christian again. However, God led me to a different church in Dec. and healed me! I've never been happier!



In terms of your other question about what we can do to protect ourselves from spiritual warfare, that's something I've been asking other believers for advice on. They told me to pray, study the Bible, and regularly go to fellowship meetings. I like Ephesians 6 10-18, which talks about putting armor on to protect ourselves from the enemy.

Well, I have the scariest nightmare back in the fall. Despite wanting to better myself, and have been ( but won't get into specifics on here), I have it on the brain sometimes the worry of not having lived well enough to make it to heaven. I had this nightmare where it ended with somehow, I was in this pitch black place. I was falling and screaming! I saw Satan, but Satan in this nightmare looked like how non-believers depict the devil: Red being with horn ears and pitchfork. I saw Satan, and the dream was over before having a chance to see what would happen next. I'm not sure how to make of this dream. But I like to think I am much closer to God now more than ever.

Reply:Water and Fire are two symbolic forms of cleansing.

Cleansing with Water is to practice the teachings in general.

Cleansing with Fire is particularly difficult, that is to love selflessly like Christ, the Spirit of God. Yes, He sacrifies His all for mankind as commanded by God, His Father in Heaven.

Yes, I have felt the power of God cleanse me. I have grown increasingly aware of the forces of Satan that harrass the human race. In my own home I feel his demons amass whenever I let my guard down.



Satan has tried many times to rip my family apart, I think he gets great joy in harassing Christian families who do not protect themselves by availing of God's gifts to us.



I have never heard the voice of God, but I have felt his power, manifested by my speaking in tongues. His power that flows through me is incredible, I can literally feel the demonic forces flee from the sound of His name, and the power of his Word. This experience is very draining, but also completely awesome. All doubt of God's existence is wiped away once you have allowed Him to use your body as a vessel to defeat Satan's army. Just understand our bodies were never meant to contain this type of power, and the experience can be very draining.



Christian brother's and sisters: GO BOLDLY AND AVAIL YOURSELVES OF THE GIFT'S OF JESUS. HIS NAME IS THE NAME ABOVE ALL OTHERS.



Remember Romans 1:16 I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God.



Grab you spiritual sword, don your armor, and fight for the Lord, your eternity may not be in jeapordy, but the soul of you neighbor is depending upon you.
Reply:I think I am being cleansed or have been cleansed of pride. God has humbled me by my affliction. I've been disciplined.
