Angels



Not all angels have wings

And thus cannot fly

Not all angels have halos

That brighten the sky

Not all angels play harps

And sing songs of glory

But what people think of as an angel

Tells only part of the story



True angels don't need wings

They don't even want to fly

True angels give others wings

So that they may soar high



True angels have no halos

They can not hide the night

But a true angel gives you strength

To fend off your fright



True angels need no harps

Music won't cover the earth

True angels put a song in your heart

And let you see your own worth



People are fooled into believing

Angels can not be seen

But my angel is with me always

And always has been



I see her in the morning

Afternoon and night

We eat dinner together and talk

And she makes everything right



We walk together when shopping

We drive in the car

She talks on the phone with me

When I travel afar



She makes me feel the glory

Deep in my heart

I'm turely greatful for every moment

In which she is a part



So to my beautiful angel

I promise you this

We'll start and end each day

With a loving kiss



My heart is yours forever

My soul is yours to keep

I'll think only of you

Even while I sleep



My love is true and honest

I'll never stray from you

And keep this as a spiritual promise

My life I dedicate too



So know this and know from the heart

That I would die for you

I would battle every demon in hell

Should any trouble ensue



In spite of what others believe

What an angel to be

You truely will forever be an angel to me
