Anyone ever see a garden faerie ?

I have a very woodsy English garden back yard, with arbors and climbing roses, morning glories, night shade, lilies, ferns, hostas and stuff. I thought I might have seen one. If not it was the strangest and most beautiful thing I have ever seen. She was wearing a glittery green dress with beautiful lacy glittery green wings and was sitting on the arbor off the deck and was watching me. I have always heard it is very bad luck to see one. I was not drinking or on drugs!

Anyone ever see a garden faerie ?
Not bad luck to see one - just an 'envious' wanna be statement. . . I would luv to spend some time in your garden . . . sounds awesome . . . and complete - now that you have seen spirits tending the greens. . .
Reply:Actually, yes. I'll give more details if you can contact me on this site. Unfortunately, I don't know how to set up an email here; I signed on to Answers about a week %26amp; a half ago. I'd like to be able to contact others here....
Reply:Hmmm....interesting. Can't say I've seen one of those.
Reply:I woke one morning and saw a little light on my bed when i sat up i saw these wings fluttering and they were tiny and then there was a little face and legs in yellow light like as in glowing then i rubbed my eyes and it was gone i beleive in faries
Reply:I think you should create a shrine at the spot where you saw her.
Reply:I have not heard that they are bad luck and I have heard of other people who had experiences similar to yours. Sometimes I think that there are alternate realities or universes that we sometimes get a window into. Or the two universes temporarily coincide in one spot. I think this could explain a lot of paranormal stuff. I think you should consider yourself very lucky and if I were you, I'd write down the entire experience including the date and time so you can remember it into your old age. Let us know if you see another one. :)

Good luck! :)

Reply:Faeries from woodland, garden and sea scamper to finish off Mother Nature's work. From worker faeries to Queen's, each faerie goes about her appointed task with great pleasure, assuring that blossoms and leaves are the right color and shape, adding finishing touches here and there. When they aren't attending to nature, the faeries gather and hold celebrations (They love to party!)

Do you want to buy a charming replica?...why not help a charming gift shop owner in Cannan, New Hampshire, USA?

Reply:I havn't yet but I want to see one. Doesn't sound like bad luck to me.
Reply:yes, though not quite as clearly as you. And no, it is not bad luck to see a fairy. Leave a nice little offering of a bit of fruit and a drop or two of milk near where you saw her; you'll have a nice little friend there. ?
Reply:First... "Bad luck" is superstition, created to generate "fear" by certain authority figures and thus keep certain followers "in line". True myth and folklore does not adhere to "bad luck".

Second, you are SO blessed to have been privy to witness the being you saw. Faeries are VERY particular about who they let see them. They are very cautious these days... humans have been cruel to them. You have a Faerie Queen in your garden, and she is guarding your space and now is letting you know she is willing to coexist with you "in the open". I'm betting if you learn how to work with her, you will have gained a very loyal friend.

Of course you weren't drinking or on drugs... if it was real to you, then it was real. Simple as that. Believe me, I know what you mean. I spent many years denying seeing things like this myself before I learned there are "others like me" that see and hear and smell and feel these ethereal "things". As a matter of fact... it is my belief that faeries and angels/dieties are one and the same "thing". Therefore... if one is capable of believing in angels, then one is capable of believing in faeries as well.

Good for you for being open-minded enough to be able to let the fae, the denizens of MomaEarth's soul, into your life!
Reply:never seen one, r u sure you weren't drinking?
Reply:I've seen faeries many times before, I'm not sure if they were garden ones though...Anyway, I believe that you really saw her and that you should leave something for her. Try leaving a bit of honeyed bread or a piece of "fairy cake" on a seashell in the spot where you saw her. I'm sure you're very excited, because not everyone has the gift of Sight. Also, you are so lucky to have such a beautiful garden! Sounds like the perfect place to find faeries! And from what I know, the thing about faeries being bad luck is NOT true! They are a sign of good luck, magick, and possibly a change in your life (not necessarily a bad one!). Best of Luck!
