How easy is it to grow morning glories? do they have to be planted new every year or do they grow back yearly?

Morning glories are some of the easiest plants to grow and the hardest to get rid of. Once you plant them, they drop seeds and will grow back year after year after year (and continue to spread if you are not proactive) They prefer not to be transplanted, so if at all possible, start the seeds int he ground. They are illegal in Arizona due to how easily they spread (AZ considers them a noxious weed!) They are beautiful, for the prettiest display around the clock, plant them with moonflowers. Grandpa Ott is probably my favorite morning glory color, or heavenly blues. Check on eBay for some really neat varieties (striped, black, brown, every color of the rainbow). Definitely give them a trellis or fence to climb, or they will become a tangled mess.

The person above is correct. Bought our house last year and they magically appeared. They are pretty but if you don't want them spreading somewhere, make sure you don't allow the vine to get there and try to deadhead early and often.
