Are all Morning Glory flowers "climbers? I love the way they look and smell, and have 2 perfect places to put some, but they have to be climbers, thanks in advance.

most of them are and wow, aren't they beautiful?my sister in-law has bright blue ones on a arch trellis, in summer the sun hits them just right, they are the prettiest flowers Ive ever seen!
Reply:yes i think they are ! very interesting plants morning glories, 1st, each flower opens with the sun in the morning and then dies in the afternoon, 2nd the seeds contain ergot alkaloids which are hallucinogens. The seeds can produce similar effects to LSD when taken in the hundreds. try this site for help !

Reply:The nature of the morning glory is to climb. That is the type of plant that it is. Make sure you give the plants some trellising or nets or strings to climb on or they will just sprawl around the ground looking for something to latch on to. Make sure you want morning glories because once established, they will nver go away. Morning glories are self sowers and really put down alot of seed pods in the fall. Give them an area of their own to grow in as they will latch unto anything including other plants and flowers.
