HEAVENLY BLUE Pods- Noticed something....?

Upon further examination of my 'wild' Heavenly Blue morning glory seed 'pods' - they are not pods, but the 5-6 seeds are mature and turning dark formed the shape of a pod. My pink M.G. seeds are in the inside of a true pod, reseed and return.

My question is this... does this indicate the species of Heavenly Blues that are a commercial hybrid strain and will hence NOT reseed next year?? THANKS everybody.

Heavenly Blue isn't a hybrid and should reseed and be true to bloom. Meaning that the plants that grow next year will be the same "Heavenly Blue" that you have now.

Maybe the pods you've noticed didn't get pollinated or something but they do produce seeds and they are easy to collect and sow the next year if you don't want mother nature to do the work.
Reply:Here I go again, guessing. The pod does not indicate hybridization. The seed packet, or the plant tag does. Secondly, they will reseed. They may, or may not reproduce as the original plant, but they will reproduce.
