Help!Cat problems...?
I would say that you need to find some cat food.

You may be a vegetarian, but cats are carnivores.

Important info:

Although it is possible to keep dogs on a vegetarian diet satisfactorily, cats are more specialized and you are advised to consider carefully before changing your cat to a vegetarian diet.

Cats are natural carnivores and are unlikely to willingly forego meat from their diet. Cats fed on vegetarian diets are likely to look elsewhere for their preferred meat diet, and many cats will hunt and kill small rodents and birds.

Cats require certain nutrients from meat that cannot be obtained in sufficient amounts from plant foods. These include taurine, arachidonic acid, vitamin A, and vitamin B12."

Taurine

Taurine is an amino acid essential for cats but not for other mammals. In the prolonged absence of taurine, a cat's retina slowly degenerates and the cat suffers eye problems and can become irreversibly blind. This condition is called central retinal degeneration (CRD). Cow's milk is a poor source of taurine and there is none in plant foods. The only rich source is meat.

Arachidonic acid

Cats need a dietary source of essential fatty acids which they can then convert into other essential substances. A dietary source of the essential fatty acid, arachidonic acid, is not needed by humans as they can synthesize it from linoleic acid present in vegetable fat. However, cats lack the necessary enzymes to synthesize arachidonic acid and so a dietary source is essential. Fatty tissues and milk contain almost none and only small amounts occur in eggs. Meat is the only major source. Arachidonic acid deficiency takes some time to develop but its effect on the cat is profound.

Vitamin A

Cats cannot utilise the provitamin A of vegetables and therefore require preformed vitamin A (retinol) which occurs only in animal foods. There are only small quantities of vitamin A in eggs and dairy produce. The richest source is liver.

Vitamin B12

Cat's cannot synthesise their own vitamin B12 and a dietary source is necessary. Vitamin B12 is present only in animal products.

Niacin

Unlike other mammals, cats cannot synthesise useful quantities of this vitamin from protein and therefore require a good dietary supply. Eggs and dairy produce are very poor sources and the niacin in cereals is largely unavailable to cats. A diet based on cereals, milk and eggs will always be deficient in niacin for cats. Meat is a rich source.

Thiamin

Cats are very susceptible to deficiency of this vitamin, which is rapidly destroyed by heat. Eggs and dairy produce are poor sources, wholemeal cereals and pulses are fair sources, meat is a good source.

Protein

Cat's require large amounts of protein in their diet and this can be a problem on a vegetarian diet. Over 25% of a cat's diet should be a protein.

Whilst cats may enjoy certain plant foods, vegetarian diets high in fibre and polyunsaturated fatty acids may be detrimental to a cat's health. High fibre foods can fill the cat's digestive system without providing the necessary nutrients in sufficient concentrations. Excess polyunsaturated fatty acids in vegetable oils can lead to a vitamin E deficiency related illness.
Reply:kittens can't have rice or bread and that stuff in his eyes it might be crying or left over tears
Reply:Hrmm, NO you can't train your cat to eat like you do!

Cats eat meat, thats their thing, it's what they do!

If your cat has problems with his eyes, he needs to see a vet, he should anyways, to get vaccines and wormers that he needs!

Cats who are past weaning shouldn't really have milk.....sometimes a little bit is OK, but milk gives full grown cats the runs, and it's just bad for their bellies!

Buy a bag of cat food! and take your cat to the vet........

If you can't afford these things, find you cat a new home! Please!
Reply:Cats are NOT vegetarians and need to eat meat in order to survive! They need meat every day actually.

Unlike dogs cats cannot be fed with vegetarian food.

Reply:A diet of milk, rice and bread would be bad for the kitten and it would die. It needs protein. Buy cheap dry cat food.
Reply:Hi there l take it you have never had a pet before? l suggest you get a book on kitten care from the library and learn about kittens , i dont understand about the eyes are they stuck shut if so the kitten has an eye infection which you can bath the eyes by wetting a cloth with warm water and gently wiping the cats eyes try it five times a day... if this does not help you will have ot take if to the vet... when you have bathe cats eyes make sure you wash your hands regular ... as you could get it.
Reply:It was very kind of you to adopt a stray kitten, but the most important thing is to take it to a vet. It needs a check up to make sure it doesn't have worms, or any other illness. It may also have an eye infection which is not only irritating, but could lead to serious problems including vision loss or even blindness. Feeding your kitten rice and vegetables isn't healthy. It lacks the protein, vitamins and minerals the kitten needs to grow and maintain a healthy life. If you continue to feed the kitten only rice and vegetables it will eventually starve to death. Your best bet is to buy some dry kitten chow, and feed it that. If it's too hard for the kitten to chew, try adding a little water to soften it. Canned cat food isn't a good diet for the kitten either, because it's digestive system won't work properly for the food to be broken down, so the best bet is a little bit of water in some dry cat food, or mixing some dry cat food with some canned.
Reply:The eye [problem could be allergies, or an infection. See your vet. Get the kitty shots, wormed, and spayed/neutered. It will live a long and happy life if an indoor cat. It will also be healthier if an outdoor cat than it was,but will face many dangers outside. As for diet, cats evolved as carnivores. Their digestion system is too short to handle bread, rice, etc. It can digest some, partially, but not get the nutrition it needs. Feed a cat food. You do not need to feed meat per se but the cat food should have proteins and the vitamins and minerals the cat needs.

For its age, feed kitten food until the cat is nearly a year old. Then switch to adult food. A dry food will help keep the teeth cleaner, with treats of wet cat food. Check with your vet. The vet can recommend a good brand. A cat needs many things that others don't. For instance, taurine, which helps with eyesight. We produce our own, but a cat cannot. Before they found out about taurine, many cats became blind due to the lack of it

Congratulations on your adoption. You will have a loving companion, saved from the problems of being a stray in a cruel world.
Reply:I'm not really sure what you're asking. If his eyes water and he gets gunk in them, he probably has an eye infection. You need to take him to a vet. Also, you can't feed a cat only milk, it can't live very well off that. You need to buy him cat food. If he's used to meat, get him soft cat food and gradually mix in the hard food until he's used to it. If his poo smells really bad, it means he possibly can't eat whatever you're feeding him. He *has* to eat cat food to get all the nutrients he needs, you can't feed him your food. You CANNOT feed a cat bread or rice. His system can't process it. You HAVE to feed him catfood. If you can't, please give him to someone who can.
Reply:Go to the store and buy some dry food they do make a variety. you can also get some canned cat food. I don't think a cat can survive pn bread and milk.
Reply:An animal is a being. One should not adopt it if she/he doesn't feel responsible for it!

An animal needs CARE and this means also to be well informed about the specific needs of that animal BEFORE adopting it.

I've searched for you and found two VERY GOOD sites with advices.

One of it is: http://cats.about.com/

And the other one: http://animal.discovery.com/guides/cats/...

There you can find any information you need for the cat. Just don't be lazy to open them and read what you need to know!

To feed your cat with bread and rice doesn't mean "training"! Training has a totally different meaning!

And if you feel bored to care for your cat, just give it to someone else that love animals!
Reply:Can't you get cat food? Bread and rice is definately not a good idea. Good luck with your new kitty...thanks for adopting him!
