What are the laws regarding use of psychedelic plants for religious purposes in in the U.S.?

lately ive been growing morning glory and san pedro both of these were used by my ancetors for religious purposes. im thinking of making an achohol LSA extract but im not shure how leagal this is im not a religious person but im more than willing to claim a religion if it means i can cosume these things w/out worying about leagal reprecusions. So my question is what do i have to tell the cops so they will leave me alone

your religion has to be tax exempt and be allowed by a special directive to make use of illegal drugs. Very rarely is this granted.
Reply:All parts of the morning glory plant are legal, but LSA extract is a controlled substance (illegal).

Reply:You can't just arbitrarily claim a religion in order to get around the law. The law does provide exceptions for certain religious groups that are known to have historically used these substances, like certain Indian tribes.
Reply:yeah... just like pligamy is aginst the law so is smoking weed. yall cant smoke for "relegious purposes" if my mister, who is muslim... cant marry me too... but there might be a case if someone got enought money to fight the usa
