One of my cats chewed up some morning glories we had in the house. It doesn't seem like they ate much, if any, as the plants are just chewed.
Can this make them sick?
Thanks in advance.
Cat got into morning glories, will she be okay?
According to the Cat Fanciers' Association, morning glories ARE poisonous to cats.
If it will put your mind at rest, call the Animal Poison Control Center (1-888-426-4435). It doesn't sound like your kitty managed to ingest much of the plant, but it may not be a bad idea to move the plant outside so the kitties can't eat enough to become sick.
I think the kitties will be fine. :) Moving the plant outside isn't a bad idea, though. Listed below in the sources section is a list of all plants poisonous to cats. Lilies are the MOST toxic plant for cats.
Also on the website is a listing of non-toxic plants. If the kitties seem to like grass, maybe some catnip in the house will attract them more than other lively green things. :)
Reply:They actually wont hurt a cat. My cat had the same probelms and nothing happened, just make sure they are sprayed by posion.
