Why does the name Lucifer mean "Light-bringer"?
Who is Lucifer? Is Lucifer an Angel? Is he the Dark Star, Dark Knight? Is he the Morning Star or Morning Glory
In modern and late Medieval Christian thought, Lucifer is a fallen angel commonly associated with Satan, the embodiment of evil and enemy of God. Lucifer is generally considered, based on the influence of Christian literature and legend, to have been a prominent archangel in heaven (although some contexts say he was a cherub or a seraph), prior to having been motivated by pride to rebel against God. When the rebellion failed, Lucifer was cast out of heaven, along with a third of the heavenly host, and came to reside on the world.
Lucifer is a Latin word meaning "light-bearer" (from lux, "light", and ferre, "to bear, bring"), a Roman astrological term for the "Morning Star", the planet Venus. The word Lucifer was the direct translation of the Greek eosphorus ("dawn-bearer"; cf. Greek phosphorus, "light-bearer") used by Jerome in the Vulgate, having mythologically same meaning as Prometheus which bring the light to the man. In that passage, Isaiah 14:12, it referred to one of the popular honorific titles of a Babylonian king; however, later interpretations of the text, and the influence of embellishments in works such as Dante's The Divine Comedy and Milton's Paradise Lost, led to the common idea in Christian mythology and folklore that Lucifer was a poetic appellation of Satan.
Reply:LUCIFER IS A FALLEN ANGEL.
Reply:In heaven before Lucifer rebeled, he held a special place in heaven. In the Bible it mentions that Satan was Gods most prized creation up to that point. He was a spiritual being of light, An angel. When he fell from grace is when "Satan", "Devil", "prince of darness", "father of lies", "serpent" and other names were attributed to him.
Reply:The best answer is found in Ezekiel:
Ezekiel 28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes* was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. (*Note: He was the worship leader in heaven %26amp; chief musician)
Ezekiel 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub (an angel) that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
Ezekiel 28:15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
Ezekiel 28:16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
Ezekiel 28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, (ego) thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
Ezekiel 28:18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
Ezekiel 28:19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

Batman is the Dark Knight.
lucifer is the Angel that was cast from heaven after his defiance to God. Now he's said to roam our world in attempt to stear souls away from the good Lord.
I think he's a woman though.
Reply:Lucifer is the angel of all music and musical instruments. He is also the most handsome angel that God ever created.
I beleive that he is the morning star. I not sure.
i do not know what lucifer means.
Andi think that people give the devil more props than he really deserves. We human beings have the devil in existence.
If we would take responsibility for our own actions and stop blaming him everytime we do something wrong he would have no other choice but to humble himself.
Reply:Lucifer is an angel that disobeyed God and thus was thrown out of Heaven. He is also known as the devil or Satan.
Reply:Originally Lucifer was one of God's angels. He decisded to venture out on his own, and believed that he can be like God, or surpasss Him.Other names for Lucifer are the devil, and Satan.
Reply:Do a web search on the names of satan, you can find out all the names and what the traits of Satan are.
Reply:A fascinating fictional character.
Reply:Lucifer: (Christian mythology) A proud, rebellious archangel, identified with Satan, who fell from heaven
Reply:Lucifer was the name of Satan before he fell from Heaven. Supposedly before God created the Earth, Lucifer was the most beautiful angel in Heaven. He decided that he could overthrow God from power and tried to get the other angels on his side. God became angry with Lucifer and threw him and the angels that were on Lucifer's side out of Heaven. He also gave Lucifer rule of the earth (I don't know why he did that). Lucifer is now better known as the devil or as Satan, but he is still very beautiful (not the red guy with horns and a pitchfork that everyone thinks of).

Reply:lucifer is the Son of the morning he was an angel before his fall
Reply:The matching of Lucifer with the morning star rises not from the Hebrew bible but from classical mythology, a fount of bitter water not intended by God as our "fountain of living waters" (Jeremiah 17:13). Reference works concede that the switch is based on ".. .classical mythology for the planet Venus."
Reply:I believe Licifer is a fallen angel.
Reply:Son of the morning, fallen angel, Satan, Lucifer, Devil, etc. There are so many names. He was in heaven before the creation of the earth and turned against God. There was a war and he was eventually kicked out of heaven and sent to the earth. So Revelations says.

this is what I found on the subject
Reply:the devil, dark angel, fallen from grace....whatever.
Reply:He is the enemy of mankind, and would love to see you burn in hell eternally.
He falsely calls himself "light bearer", because he comes to bring destructive ideas into your head in the name of "enlightenment". In the Garden of Eden, he lied to Eve and told her if she disobeyed God, her inner "eye" (third eye) will be "opened".
Of course it was a lie, and they fell into sin. Satan is still using the same lies today. All he wants to do is get people to rebel against God and then have the rebellious one thrown into hell.
