Is it an annual or perennial?
I always thought Morning Glories were periennials, but when I went to buy seeds to start one it said "annual"?
they are annuals, but some of the varieties will come back but I think they may be the wild varieties. I planted some about 10 years ago and they are still coming up everywhere(my neighbor will testify to this) I live in zone 5
Reply:It all depends on your weather. Some are "classed" as perennials, and if the temps are mild enough, they keep coming back by re-seeding themselves year after year. But if you have colder winters, they tend to die off and need to be replanted the following year.
. In cultivation, most are treated as perennial plants in tropical areas, and as annual plants in colder climates, but some species tolerate winter cold.

They're worth it though... aren't they ? I just love them !
Reply:the morning glories form a seed ball and then it reseeds itself quickly during the spring and summer. you can save some of the seeds after the bloom dries up for the next season and start all over again.
