Annual; but they seed profusely. Just get to the little pods just before they burst and put them in a dry plastic baggy. Then plant in spring. I live in 7b, and that's what I do with them each year,
Are morning glories a perenial flower or an anual? I'm in zone 7b?
Morning glories are an annual but they are self sowing. They will come back where they bloomed before. You might want to gather up a bunch of the seed pods that are on the ground unless you want a lot of vines. Morning glories are very viable and you could get more than you want. You might want to watch the area where you grew them and look for the emerging plants. If you feel you have too many coming up, pull them out to allow the right amount of plants and vines you want rather than having a morning glory jungle.
Reply:annual. but the seeds will give you new plants year after year
Reply:The wild morning glories are a prennial and the tame ones are an annual. (they are related to the sweet potato) The ones in the seed catalog are annuals.
